Sylvester has silver
Sitting on a shelf in Kelowna lays a silver medal from the 2004 BC Winter Games Men’s Hockey Team and it belongs to Kootenay ICE forward Dustin Sylvester.
In his first year of Bantam, at 15 years old, Dustin played for Zone 2 (Okanagan) in what he calls the highest level of hockey, “It’s where the best (hockey players) come to together from the province.”
Dustin is not the only player on the Kootenay ICE roster that has taken part in the Winter Games either he is joined by the likes of Calgary Flames draft pick John Negrin and rookie Joe Antilla and all the players agree the best part of the Winter Games experience for them was the fun.
