Hockey leads the way

The first hockey game of the BC Winter Games started at 7:00 sharp with the Kootenay team (Zone 1) taking on the team representing the Fraser Valley (Zone 3).

The spirited match saw end-to-end action in the Cranbrook Rec Plex. It was played before a crowd of enthusiast spectators and the watchful eye of hundreds of hockey scouts and coaches from throughout western Canada.
The first hockey game ended in 7-0 win by the Fraser Valley team.
Hockey is one of 20 sports in the Kimberley-Cranbrook BC Winter Games. The round-robin format will lead up to Sunday's medal presentations.
