Fraser Valley takes the first game

The first female hockey game of this year’s Winter Games went to Zone 3 (Fraser Valley).

Vanessa Leuszler opened the scoring for Fraser Valley in a 4 – 1 win over Kootenay (Zone 1). Stephanie Launay, Chelsea Campbell, and Alannah Kendra-McCormack put the game away in the second period. Kootenay’s lone goal was from Kristy Donaldson and those girls will face Caribou/North East (Zone 8) today at 6:15 pm.

Fraser Valley’s next game is today at 4:00 pm against the Island.
