Fraser Valley continues domination

Cranbrook, BC - The Zone 3 Fraser Valley U-16 squad continued their domination of the tournament with a 6-1 win over Zone 8 – Northeast in BC Winter Games action Saturday morning.

Fraser Valley held leads of 2-0 and 6-0 after two periods on two-goal performances by both Brock Wellicome of Surrey and Connor Sanvido of Maple Ridge – both with two goals and an assist – while North East’s lone goal came midway through the third by Gus Correale of Prince George.

Fraser Valley’s other markers came from Colton Mackie and Brandon Formosa. Laurent Brossoit got the win in net for Fraser Valley stopping 19 of 20 shots while Kris Drott took the loss for North East, turning aside 34 of 40 shots.
