First plane full of athletes arrive

A chartered 737 aircraft touched down at the Canadian Rockies international airport Wednesday night, shortly after 9:00, laden with 120 BC Games athletes from Comox on Vancouver Island.
A contingent of Kimberley-Cranbrook BC Winter Games hosts were on site to welcome the athletes and coaches as they arrived.
One of the first teams off the airplane was an enthusiast team of competitors in karate. They and the rest of the athletes were directed to three waiting buses to be transported to their accommodations.

Lucky kids! They were arriving just about when athletes from the lower mainland were leaving for their long overnight bus trips to Cranbrook.
