CBC Radio interviews BC Games athletes
As the 1,500 athletes readied themselves for the upcoming events, two athletes took the time to speak with CBC Radio.
Jennifer Lowen (right), an Invermere badminton competitor and Jenny Wang (left), a Coquitlam table tennis competitor, spoke about their experiences at the Games.
The Kimberley-Cranbrook BC Winter Games run Feb 21 to 24th and has over 1,500 athletes from all corners of B.C. participating.
Both athletes said they were participating in BC Winter Games for "fun of it" and any medals placing would be a bonus to them.
They were both impressed by the competitors that they observed in pre-game practices. They were both excited about the opening ceremony and the opportunity to compete on a provincial level.
Both Jennifer and Jenny began competition on Friday.
